The Master of Science degree in Mental Health
Counseling prepares professionals to work in a wide
variety of community agencies such as mental health
centers, probation and parole departments, substance
abuse centers, residential treatment centers, church related
counseling centers, and private practice. The
Master of Science degree is also a preparatory degree
for doctoral study in Counseling. Additionally, this
degree is the first stage toward licensure as a professional
counselor.
